We are presently returning to Ukraine to find our next little one. As we lefted the Ukraine this summer 2001 with our daughter Makayla happy and so thankful to God for being new parents. Something in my heart is saying someone is still there waiting for us. When we were leaving we felt we were leaving someone behind. As if my heart is missing a little piece, in it is there in Ukraine. I felted so much love from the little ones there. As I held their little hands and hugged them daily. You grown to love children even more.

It was probably the hardest thing both my husband and I had to do. We had to walk away and try not to look back so the children would not see us cry. Many of the children I could hear crying and beggin to leave with us. Poppa, Momma, Poppa, Momma. I know we can not take them all home with us. For if I could, I would gather them like stars from the sky. I know bringing another home will not help them all. But I want to help at least one more child have a Momma and Poppa. I can not imagine what these little ones are thinking when parents come to visit to chose children. Some faces stare in the space for they have seen many parents come through and they have not been chosen. Others run to you, hoping to catch you attention. And just maybe this would be there turn. Can you imagine, how it feels to be a child there and waiting day after day? I think of it alot. I saw where many children had no blankets on their beds, it was cold. I am collecting blankets this next trip, I do not care if I have to recycle my clothes again and again. I will cover a few little ones. And they will be warm. If you are considering adoption. Yes there are children in Ukraine, Many. Maybe a piece of your heart is with a child there. It he/she is waiting. I saw a man a lady looking at a their new car the other day. They talked about all the extras the car had and bragged about the cost. How they purchase a new one each year. Yes we dreamed of a Red Corvette, or even a Volkswagen beetle, anything close to being new. But not all the new cars could compare to the love our little one has given us this last year...
God bless everyone in finding their forever little one.
