There Is A God!!!
18 years ago I made the the hardest decision a mother ever has to make. I had been living in an abusive relationship, so I took my children and tried to make it on my own. With no support from family and friends, we found ourselves living on state aid. I had no work experience and had three babies that were all born within the same year (a son, and eleven months later, twin daughters). So, after agonizing over the situation for months, and seeing no hope for a brighter future, I placed them up for adoption.
My father wrote to the Department of Children and Family Services over a year ago, as he has a medical condition that he thought the children should be made aware of. He was also trying to surprise me for Mother's Day, by making some sort of contact with them. This has been a dream of mine all these years, but not knowing how they felt about me, I felt I had no right to interfere in their lives.
Two weeks ago (over a year after my father wrote the letter), someone at the Department of Children and Family Services delivered the letter to the adoptive parents of my children. Their parents in turn gave it to my one daughter who still resides at home. She contacted her siblings, and they all agreed that they would like to get to know their biological family.
My father woke me up in the middle of the night last week to tell me he had received an e-mail from one of my twin daughters. I have since spoken with both of my twin daughters by phone and will be meeting with them soon. My son is in the Navy and I have been unable to contact him as of yet. But the girls assure me he wants to get to know me, as well.
They have all been raised together in a very loving home. All of the prayers I have said over the years have been answered. Although I posted information on this sight several years ago, it was not through this sight that I found them. However, I hope that this will give some of you hope, nonetheless.
My life has been blessed, I hope all of you that are searching can have the same fabulous results that I have had. All of my dreams have come true.
