Hi! I am a 36 year old married mother of three boys ages 9, 11, and 13. I gave my daughter up for adoption on January 17, 2002, due to the fact that me and my husband were separated when she was conceived, and I didn't feel it would be fair to try and raise her within our family since she wasn't my husband's child.
I found a wonderful family to adopt her, and we still keep in touch with letters. They send me photos of her. She is now almost 2 years old, and I don't regret my decision at all.
The family that adopted her went through four miscarriages before deciding to adopt. I have never experienced a miscarriage and was lucky to be able to conceive right away. I found this family through the Crisis Pregnancy Center located in Simi Valley, CA. They prayed with me and gave me several brochures with Adoption Attorney locators. I chose a wonderful lady, who has a family of her own, but dropped everything to support me no matter whether day or night. She would still do that for me even after the adoption. We still have contact, and she loves her job so much and really cares about helping mothers and their babies.
I am so glad I chose the adoption option, as opposed to abortion. I would love to help mothers who are facing the choice of either abortion or adoption, and tell them my story as adoption is so rewarding in so many ways. Please let me know if there are any mothers out there that I can help, and possibly refer to the adoption attorney that I was so lucky to have met. I call her "My Angel". I know that another mother would benefit from her services, as she is such a special lady!!
To save a baby's life is the greatest feeling in the whole world!!
